Was baby Daniel not Laurel and Ashley's baby?

I don't know if anyone else noticed... but in last night's episode Mel mentioned that her sister has Cystic Fybrosis and she is a carrier. And we know she had her baby at the same time and ward as Laurel. So could there have been a mix-up? Surely Emmerdale won't do a baby mix-up storyline so soon after Corrie?
