Does this sound nice or silly to you?

My grandfather came over and helped me in my garden today, just to put a little colour into it and we both painted two plain slabs cream and he placed the two slabs on my front lawn, one at each end outside my living room window and once they dried he put a big ceramic flower pot on the slab, filled it with compost and the put in the Marigolds which he says will look lovely when they flower, does this sound nice or do you think it sounds silly? should I buy some more ornaments for my front garden? gran says I should buy like a little boundary fence for around my daffodils xxx
